Email Marketing can be a tricky subject to master.  It has huge revenue potential if done properly, and even more destructive potential if exeuted poorly.  Lets take a look at some good examples of email marketing sign-up pages that actually drive customers to give you their email address so you can market to them.

One thing I found interesting when researching this post was how few e-commerce retailers actually have email sign up pages.  The majority of retailers offer the small form on the bottom of all pages allowing customers to sign up any time they wish, and while this method works in some cases we must not forget that marketing to our customers via email is a privalige.  Thats why I like the idea of creating an email sign up page to give the customer a taste of what they are going to be recieving.  If they don't like it, we don't want them on our list.

Of course having a great email marketing sign up page doesn't mean you are going to suceed.  You actually have to back it up with a solid email marketing campaign that reaches out to your customers with truely relement messages.

Are these really that great? A lot of the examples don\'t seem to focus the attention very well on the required sign up. There\'s so much going on! Maybe they\'re so great because so many signup pages are so bad or non-existent?
