Drupal Shopping Cart PDF Print E-mail

As Content Management System's get more capable and as E-Commerce platforms become more robust in functionality the line between the two becomes blurry.

Slashdot has an article today about the E-Commerce Module project for the Drupal content management system.

Drupal is one of the most popular CMS platforms online today along with Joomla.  The benefit to using a CMS with a shopping cart module instead of just using a shopping cart is that you get much more advance site management features like collaborative editing and community features such as forums and social networking as well.

The E-commerce module for Drupal looks to have a nice feature set, but makes the same problem that a lot of open source projects makes...they don't provide a working front end demo that is easy to find.

I am not sure than Drupal can easily be turned into an e-commerce system, a try has already been made with the famous Joomla Virtumart but no any success appeared.
